She saw the hungry oceans
Rushing toward the kingdom
Of the shore with full force
In the scarlet rays of the sun
Pouring on the parched land
And turned her ship again
Toward the unpathed waters
Alone, all alone, evermore.
She saw the hungry oceans
Rushing toward the kingdom
Of the shore with full force
In the scarlet rays of the sun
Pouring on the parched land
And turned her ship again
Toward the unpathed waters
Alone, all alone, evermore.
She walks into the gray maze
Of endless corners serpentine
In the prosperousness of the haze
Under a moonbeam travertine
Beguiling her into remote hopes
Cycle and epicycle, amaranthine.
A sky maiden sprinkles stars
Across the celestial vault
With a moon mirror she hangs
As the earth below sleeps
And dances in the night light.
Hope comes in blue wonder
Flapping its tails of vigor,
Little Tiger wonders in silence
If he can touch the brilliance.

The luminescence of the lunar beauty alone
Quells the untamed roar of the wild ocean,
Illuminates the somber kingdom of the shore,
And pours the perched heart with pleasure.

I think myself awake when I dream
Of the vivid visions of the world
I am in – as I have never been;
Of the fleeting faces of the crowd
I see – as I have never seen.
In the Forest of Arden
I dream alive, today, again.
