As the Night Begins.

It is the night as dark as the Persian night,
I listen to the silence of the night;
Let nothing disrupt the stillness of mind.
Let nothing make me afraid.

For life is transient,
For it could end in the night;
Let me now forsake all passing things.
Let me enjoy the moment of peace.
