What then if there’s no time for leisure
to stand on the top of the hill in solitude;
No time for pleasure to view the theater
Of nature’s play on the stage of magnitude?
P.S.: I think the music ‘Top of the World’ by the Carpenters strikes the chords of my impression on the view I witnessed on the top of the loop. So here I made a little video for a lark.
I love every aspect of your multidimensional poetry! Karen Carpenter’s song is an outstanding choice for this video – I have always been a massive fan of her works, and “Top of the World” compliments the presentation impeccably. “The theater / Of nature’s play” is picturesque, indeed! It made me wish I could witness the fascinating landscapes along with your adorable friends. 😉

Thank you Veronica 😃 I love her melliferous voice; it’s soothing and warm. In fact, I sing along with her when I am alone, listening to her songs. And it was the apotheosis of pleasure to listen to the top of the world looking down all the creation below alone with nature. And yes, you are always welcome as a member of nature’s appreciation society 😊

You never cease to amaze with your perceptiveness, Stephanie! It always bewildered me that someone who endured excruciating suffering, like Karen, could share so much warmth & light with others – her songs are hidden treasures, and I am delighted we share the music taste, as well! 😉
